arai helmets

Quote:
I was changing the POS face shield on my POS arai corsair helmet and the POS side plate tab broke. I was being extremely careful. The POS one on the other side broke a couple of months ago. I filled out araihole's online warranty claim form. Check out araihole's resolution below.

Comment: Hello,

I need a replacement right side shield side pod for an Arai RX7-Corsair white Wraith helmet. This is the the piece/plate that fits over the right side end of the face shield. The top tab of this pod broke while removing the face shield.

Thanks,

Mark

we can replace it once since you were at fault. it will be sent to you by mail.

I hate arai with each beat of my heart. BTW, arai helmets are POS.

I never liked araihole anyway.

Well..., I bought another Arai Corsair. That's the problem. I love Arai helmets too even though their way of changing shields sucks and leads to breakage of the side plates. It's their customer service that really sucks a great big ol'...

the neck strap on my arai frayed after only 3 months of use.

They said it was 'user error' and that I had velcro or similar attacking it.

After MUCH shouting at them, they did relent and swap over, but denied any responsibility.

First time I wear the helmet with replacement strap, the actual strap bolt (that keeps it to the helmet) snapped off.

Again, they claimed user error. I claimed serious safety defect and threatened to sue.

Got new helmet.

Chin vent stuck. Got that replaced.

Lacquer peeled off.

Got no where.

For a £300+ helmet, Im really f*cked off with the workmanship and the aftermarket care. Even my first (cheapest) HJC helmet is standing up better to the use...and thats like 3 years old with over 70k miles done on it!

Arai care? Bullshit they do.

A lot of people have problems with these side pieces breaking off. Customer service in on point for me! I got a special phone number I call and they send me whatever I ask for, FREE, no questions asked, even if the helmet is out of warrenty.

Just call and tell the lady that your helmet broke, tell her the model and the parts you need. A few days later the parts are in your mailbox.
