I have been thinking about this for some time. There are many awesome supporters of this site that have been very good about paying on time with no games. Yet on the other hand I have had a few people that have played games and have weasled many months of free advertising. It is not fair to the paying advertisers to let the unpaid Dead Beats go un-noticed. On a more important point, as a few members have pointed out, it is my obligation to the members to point out companies that have not paid their bills. With the assumption that if they are not honest with the site, they may not be honest with their customers. I have thought about this last statement for many months, and have come to the conclusion that it is a service to the members for me to post DEAD BEAT advertisers. I do not want to discourage future or present advertisers in any way. I am very flexible and would never post a company in this section unless it was after numerous contact attempts from more than one email account due to filtering possibilities. I am in the process of sending out requests for payment one last time for certain companies. The results will be posted here. Thank you, Easyrider |

The first Advertiser that belongs in this the DEAD BEAT thread is: Fitch Fuel Catalyst They stalled and delayed for months and eventually the ad was pulled after it was clear they were never going to pay. |

The next company that belongs in the DEAD BEAT advertiser section is: Stedman Racing from www.stedmanracing.com They also stalled and delayed to receive as much free advertising as they could before I pulled their ad. Ads only go on the site when an agreement has been reached. They never paid or came up with any reason why they were unable to pay. It was particularly dissapointing for Stedman Racing to stiff the site for advertising as I thought they were a large reputable bike company. |

I went over to the stedman site, for the first time just now. Everything is focused on the Hayabusa :? I did not see ZX-12R mentioned on their site. :? They clearly misled you into providing the advertising Hopefully our members here that do have a Busa won't call on them for anything.

No problem.Seriously though, I would not put anyone up on this list unless they had been warned many times and it was 100% obvious that they knew what they were doing. This can effect peoples businesses and I do not take that lightly.

Dale, I agree with what you are trying to do, but I think they are actually getting more free advertisement. For example Mark visited the site dedicated to bugglies. Just because someone scamed the org for a few months worth of advertising doesn't mean they dont still offer some type of product that someone might read here(and eventually buy). Kinda like "Bad publicity is still 'publicity.'" Just my thoughts. I think they suck and would NEVER buy from someone like that...eventually, their wrong-doings will catch them and toss them into bankruptcy. there are also several threads about the fuel thing...delete them too. When companies are jacked up, let them fade away like a bad dream. Hell, delete all the threads refering to any of these poor businessmen. either way you decide, the businesses are done for on this site---a site that obviously gets a LOT of views.(a.k.a POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!) --jeff

I think it's double sided Jeff. I agree, it does provide them more publicity but it's negative IMHO and while I might also check their websites out of curiosity I would never buy from them knowing they don't have the common courtesy to pay for something they requested. Then again, I want a Fitch Fuel catalyst about as much as I want womens under wear and tampons ( that's sarcasm btw) |

seriously, i gotta lean toward easys view. They basically got something for free(a.k.a. STEALING) so they should be slammed, this way, you are sure not to click on their banner and order from them somewhere else. I have seen the light.

The conclusion I came up with is this: If an advertiser is scared away from advertising due to not paying bills they agreed to, then I most likely do not need them as an advertiser. They would most likely stiff me money eventually. I did have an issue with an advertiser that looked like he was avoiding payment, however it turned out that my emails were blocked for some unknown reason. I have learned from that, and now email people from multiple email addresses and points of origin, with phone calls if available. Advertisers that are willing to pay the agreed upon price have nothing to worry about. I am very cooperative with honest people. However over the years I have tired to being taken advantage of, and have had it pointed out that it is my responsibility to let members know. I hope people understand. Easyrider

Well after many attempts over the past year or so to get money owed DynoJet gets added to the list of Dead Beat Advertisers. They owe me quite a sum of money for advertising that was not paid for. After repeated attempts to contact them including Paypal money requests from the account that had being paying in the past, the response has been to completely ignore of shuffle the buck to someone else. I am tired to trying to get hold of them for this, they are officially added as a Dead Beat Advertiser. I have a couple more that are getting close to being added. This will be a second time occurance for one particular vendor if they do not pay up soon or contact me. |

Dale, is Spencer Cycle one of them? I see he's advertising on The Motorhead's Busa forum. Maybe you could contact Dennis (Motorhead) and see if he has ever had a problem with Spencer. If Spencer isn't one of them, please forgive me for mentioning it. |

I SERIOUSLY DOUBT DOUG AT SPENCER WOULD BE ON THE LIST, HE'S A GOOD GUY. IF I'M NOT MISTAKIN HE ENDED THE RELATIONSHIP WITH ZX-12R.ORG DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE CATERS TO THE DRAG RACE CUMMUNITY, AND WE ONLY HAVE A FEW DRAG GUYS ON HERE. DOUG IS A VERY STAND UP GUY. |
