If you can keep the front wheel down I think given your 144 mph ts you should get to 10.1 with a little more practice and then you be grabbed by the bug for that elusive first 9. It's a great feeling !
Still not sure if I will make it in time for this Sunday. Still getting the bike together. The joys of a project bike I guess! The plan if I can make it is just a few shakedown runs to get a feel and see how the bike behaves.
I've geared it 17/50 added a longer chain to get 6 over stock and stuck a shinko hookup on the back as well as lowering it. Plan for tomorrow is check I've finally fixed the oil and water leaks and the bleed the brakes and clutch. Then once it's running and stopping OK I have a quick shifter to add and do a basic tune upon the lockup clutch. It's a tall order , we will see :)

Maximus , I went to the drags today but my bike didn't :(
After working late yesterday and early today I got it ready but not till 2 pm sigh! By the time I'd got on the trailer etc. it would have been too late. So I jumped in the car caught up with a few race buddies for an hour as consolation with a view to getting out next Sunday.
Probably best, Id like to check the clutch settings which I skipped. Feels heavy so need to lighten it to stop it spinning or trying to instantly wheelie . Plus gives me a little time to add some basic launch control. I must remember this is my intended new street bike so need to be able to keep it streetable. Failing so far.... Disappointed I didn't quite make it but I did manage a lovely black stripe in the yard " testing " :)

That's a shame Dave but in one way its best not rushing into it i guess , me personally like to have a bit of ( relax ) time to make sure everything is faultless . It's great you have meetings so often ! PS keep us updated mate :)

Well this last Sunday was a rain off!
It's given me time to also add an air shifter and 2 step :)
Plus I've updated the flimsy chain guard.
Not happy with the oil plumbing around the turbo and sump. Lots of joins . So am updating that with new single piece braided lines and a few other tweaks including lighter spring on waste gate.
Next drags in two weeks.
I have no idea how this puppy will behave so I'm hoping it will manage a few straight runs with the front wheel behaving. I'd be happy with a high 9 first time out and optimistic of lower. However just a non eventful slower pass or two will do just to run through the gears and shake it down :)
Am planning on adding a gear based boost controller later to allow some better and consistent times. I'm sure there's a mid 8 or slightly better in it with practice:)
I will see ......

Bad news Dave about the rain can't wait to see what the beast ends up doing ! Smart idea giving it a few shack down runs , very lucky the same didn't happen here ! Very happy with the outcome though . I ran a 10.089 :) I am over the moon ! Had a few more runs but had wheel spin problems in first and second gear . I'M not going to stop until i get a9.9999999 with stock wheel base and unlowerd ..

Nice run.
Do you run a stock or lock up clutch ?
10.01 is very respectful but your losing just a tiny bit in the first half.
That feeling of joy when you get your first nine is equal to getting laid the first time. :) Memorable but over quickly haha ..

Your top end is strong but you will see that terminal of 147 go down to about 144 with a 9.90 as you will get there quicker ...
I think you can get a 1.7 60ft with a little practice which may be enough .
If your spinning the tyre let some air out.
I ran my 12 at 8 psi in the rear on a shinko hookup.
Just doing that could get you there too :)

I found lowering and stretching made no difference apart from less wheelies .
It was only after adding extras like lockup and 2 step that made a difference to my times oh and of course the spray :) and at that point stretching was essential.
A 30 shot will give you 3 tenths .... Maybe a long delay to get you into 3rd gear , keeping the front down and then a little spray will work too.

Good luck and don't forget to post the 9 second ticket :)

I really have no idea what my 1109 will do but once I've finished the current mods the 12 engine is coming out my silver 12r as parts donor for the red 12r race bike as I'm missing it... and there's lots of meets coming up.
I'm still on a big learning curve but it's fun apart from falling off :) I really want my first 8 this year... :) and the 1109 is meant to be my street bike ........ :)

I shall keep you updated here :)
Looking at some of my old time slips most of my mid to low 9 sec runs were around 145 -150 mph
So your already there.
A race buddy Adam recently ran 9.1 on his stock motor no spray 2002 b model.
He is 70 lbs lighter than me though lol.
You just need to sort that 60 ft :)
Adam recently updated to a lockup but was running 9.35 with stock clutch and billet basket.
There's a few vids on YouTube of us racing each other.

with the stock wheel base a friend and i would run 16/44 gearing for the most wheel base. with more seat time your going to get a 9sec pass.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!
