its is and i am...
that post rode for a few days with personal information and it seemed like nothing was done for a bit...
granted im not privvy to what goes on behind the scenes , im just taking what i saw at face value...
has a new standard been set at the .org?
is it ok to go find personal info about a member and post it up in a public forum for all to see?
is this something a guy can get away with here and now?
Ok, fair enough question then,
Ship's personal info was in that post for less than 24 hours, not "a few days". I took it down when I saw it.
Looking through my PM's, I'd say the standard was set in 4/2010 when another member posted someone's personal info and it too was removed when I was notified by PM that it had been posted. (I didn't receive any notification this time, so it was up until I happened upon it.)
No, I'd say it is still not ok to post someone's personal info, whether it's public record or not.
No, I'd say it's not something a guy "can get away with" without some sort of action being taken. "Action", being the infraction system utilized here. If you don't know anything about the infraction system, that's a good thing!
Hope that clears it up. I try to be as transparent as possible with the exceptions being PM conversations between myself and other members, and disciplinary actions imposed. I'll always try to honestly answer everything else.
