How fast?

How fast have you gone? How fast are you willing to go?

Heard a story on the radio about a guy pulled over in a Vette by the RCMP in Northern Alberta doing 202 Kph. The cop said it was the fastest he has ever seen on the road. I'm thinking this has to be a rookie. Shit I do better than that on my way home from work some days :)

Honestly don't have any idea. Buried the speedo a couple of times in 5 years with the 12, but I don't have a GPS, so any number would just be a guess.

BTW, here the Guardia Civil stops the chasing after 160 km/h... so it´s very easy to dissapear....

Geez, don't any of you read the posted speed limits? 200+mph on public roads, that's crazy talk! =)

With a fairly fresh tires on mine, I ran it up to between 180 and 185 on the speedo on I-65, I think I may have hit the limiter as it didn't seem to want to go any faster. From what I've seen posted here about speedo error on the 12, I am guessing that I was running around 170 or so.

That is far from my typical riding style though, typically my "fast riding" is in the ton range...

300 kph at the end of PIR front strait, every lap.

(well maybe not every lap, but every lap that I feel like it... sometimes I just run it up to about 240kph and then cruise the last half of the strait)

EDIT: good Lord SHIPTEEY, 328 kph on the street... are you NUCKING FUTS ??? lol

OK, not able to get all the room I wanted but I gave Rt.28 a run at about 180+ (190 showing on the needle) I definitely had more power available. {{Dang Traffic}}

DC, I discovered a part of 28 that has "good air" if you want to wring 6th out in this portion....I learned it while topping out on the Ninja 250...at this one spot RPMs would always rise 100-200 rpms there and it was consistent, realized it was a pocket of better air, almost every time I ran through there pinned I could feel the surge on the 250.

But honestly fuck VA, gotta run over to another state to really play.

The Buell couldn't hit 712 mph dropped from an F-14 WITH three lunar lander modules tied to it.

But it's a special Carborundum-covered Buell, number something-or-other... Plus there's no radiator, so it's gotta be feather-light...

That Buell has experienced numerous 130 mph runs, I maintain. It has actually hung wiff a 12. But in all fairness, Seed was on the 12 and he never took any bike he rode over 3500 rpms.

Roughly 175 on speedohealer/gps checked speedo. I had already spanked the 2 literbikes that were trying to keep up and it was night out so I slowed down.

174.3mph, I had the father-in-law clock me from his patrol car on accident

Thank goodness it was him and not someone else. That's a class 'C' felony here.

I went 241.7 on a friends stock busa once, and I think the front wheel was off the ground the whole time.
I don't have a fancy GPS, but I'm a pretty good estimator.

200 on speedo 5 in morning on a motorway link road that no one uses much now. must say the feeling between 170 and 200 isnt much till u come to stopping. over here 130 can get u a prison sentence so this was a very rare occurence just to see what it felt like, very rarely go over 160 for any length of time.
