If my wife did come, I would be the one driving her around. She doesn't like to drive , especially in another state. That is why I am against her going. I would like for her to go, but i don't want to babysit...so I don't think that she should go. We like to gamble, but don't like to lose our money so we don't. I like the tubing, the horse riding and the twisties. My brother said i was being selfish...I said i wanted to ride not watch people ride.

To summarize: Some people bring non-riding guests... Whether it's for you or not depends on who you are...

I will add one thought on this subject... Our rallies are fun events for everyone involved... We try to respect one another, & we don't do stooopid stuff... (We don't drink & ride, etc...) Now, if your kids are young, and have never heard a swear-word, you'll need to take special precaution to keep them out of earshot of CBX... 'Course, he's usually incoherently intoxicated by dinnertime anyway, so it's not a big deal...

EDIT - I just lost 2 HUGE paragraphs above this one (posting tired, I guess)...GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I mentioned the resort's facilities, as someone said above... You can take a day or 2 out of riding, & rent a boat, go horseback riding, etc... My wife enjoyed it in '06, & she doesn't ride...

I am gonna block off some rooms & some cabins for our group, but everyone will need to reserve them separately in their own name... I do this mainly to keep our "Main Cabins" together, if possible... Makes life easier when people are getting together for meals, etc...

If the girl at Fontana doesn't return my call soon, I'm gonna lose my fu*kin' cherubic demeanor!!

Just sayin'...

Seriously, I'm calling them again tomorrow & will post price schedule & other info as soon as I get it!! This info will go in the original post of this thread with all the other pertinent stuff...

If I go, absolutely.
I know 238 and edge were considering it.
anyone else???????
What's the final per-person cost on the cabins this year?

I'd put my chance right now at about 25-30%.

Hey, Connhat - Imma put you on the Tentative List... I hope you can make it!! BTW - The first post in this thread has everyone's home state listed beside their screenname to help people coordinate travel plans...

AND - As far as the prices on the cabins, I've got the inquiries in... Hoping to have our group discount pricing posted soon!! I'm thinking that our discounts will be in the area of 20% off the published prices, but I'm just guessing @ this point...

Fontana Village rates are now posted in the first post of this thread (near the bottom)...

Any questions can probably be answered on their website or by using the number provided in the Rates Schedule... My contact there is Debbie Rich, and she's a pretty good kid...

People can reserve their own cabins/rooms/campsites & they'll try to group them in our block... Mention KawasakiWorld group or ZX-12R.org group to assure getting our discounted rates...

We fly into LA on Friday April 24 at 0640. Not my first choice of places to land, but flying in from down here we don't have much choice.
Last visit Jazz had a brother living in LA so it worked out pretty good. This time I think we will get some sleep then grab a rental car or a domestic flight outta there.

Haven't planned anything beyond that, and no, haven't heard from Ray yet.

BTW we fly out of LA on May 27.

You must be a helluva guy to have someone offer up a Duc! Hope I get to meet ya!

Hey Paul. I've often wondered. Cars that drive on the left side of the road have their streering wheels on the right side. So then where are the handle bars located on your motorcycles? Front or back?

Ok bro's the list is growing nicely. There are a few more prospects (all virgins to the gap) who are syaing they are going to come 4-5 more but we will see as the date gets closer. Any word from the ny guys (epstien, the misses ect...) man i almost get teary eyed thinking of you guys and the fun, laughs and good times that has been had there. Oh by the way any word from the cooks that have always made the rally. I know i have missed a few of the rallys but to anyone who is on the fence about going "do not miss it" my life has been enriched by the guys at this rally.

Chicago - I hope your friends decide to go, as it will be a great trip for them, I'm sure!! Epstein & Dee might have a scheduling conflict, but I'm not counting them out yet... As far as the cooks go, since Will & Cheri moved out West, they said the DG rally was gonna be too far for them to come... I guess we're officially looking for someone to "fill that slot"!!

As usual, I'll bring the Pulled Pork BBQ, I think you ChiTown boys are bringing your famous sausages... We'll prolly do one sit-down dinner @ Fontana's restaurant... Other than that, I'm open... Traditionally, we have all pitched in a few buxx & someone did a shopping trip for a "Sandwich Buffet", which stays open for the entire rallyment...

Of course, everyone brings their own beverages (lemonade, ginger ale, etc...)... I have other choices myself...

And you can't fool me, that's Blitz's beer you're sitting next to. He's the only guy left that still drinks Coors Original.

Thanks, Mr. Rokitt!! That's my Grandson to my right; we jus' pimpin' pimpin'... That was a great day on the water!!

Now about those bootz - I didn't pack any tennies or shortz for the rallyment, cuz I didn't think I'd be swimmin' & boatin'...

And, Reddawg, yes I live in Kentucky, but I started wearin' bootz like that when I lived in Texas...
