RD 350 value?

A customer of mine is selling his RD 350 N YPVS from 1987 in pretty good condition, said he wanted 1200 euro for it.

here's some pics, hope the linking works...

I love the RD's and know they are valueable as poo nowadays and will only increase value, not sure on the naked model though, what do you think (sorta pointing this in kneedraggr's direction ;) ) is it worth the buy for the fun but mainly as an investment (sorta like an oldtimer)??

I'm NOT an expert at all, but that bike in good running condition would be worth $1775 USD to me... That's equivalent to 1200 Euro...

That's just me, tho... BTW - I'm not sure what collector's value you might count on, as the exhaust's been replaced with expansion chambers (good thing in my book, but prolly lowers value)...

I've always wanted an RD 500 but they are even rarer here, even the 350 is rare, there's only like 4 or 5 for sale within 150km from me.

The guy said the engine's been overhauled, new pistons etc etc, bike has 49000 km on it.
