Drove Jeep today. It's suppose to rain. I wanted the rain to wash off all the salt that got on my Jeep because the snowment last week. If'n it doesn't rain, I'll have to run it through a car wash on the home.

-5 (23) Took me 15 minutes to get into my frozen up car this morning. De-icer was in the boot which I couldn't open because it was frozen up. Wipers were frozen up. Had use a hair dryer on an extension lead to thaw out the windscreen water jets. :(

Snap

...first time I've never been able not to scrape the ice off the screen....that along with 4" snow...I gave up and took a real late train. They forecast another 10" possible for Thursday

Lucky me. Living in South Africa gives me at least 340 out of 365 days to ride. Only the occasional heavy rain storm stops me from riding.

TBH MrB, I don't think gritting would help much.... and coz of the rarity of the event we just aint equipped with enough ploughs.

Bloodie mare, though.... in the thaw, this place is looking like Stalingrad on a good day.

fair point ..............however we live (lived!) in a country in the top six largest economies in the world and shut down the capital city due to 4" of snow............this country has no ability whatsoever to cope with any weather emergency. Its like a 3rd world country....rant over

55-60 F here, took the bike out....sans fairing, front fender, and slip on...Roads are dry but still a lot of salt dust from snows a few weeks back. Unleashed the fury but only up to 70 mph or so as I don't want to find out what the 12 handles like without a fairing or front fender at high speeds, plus that salt dust. It's loud for sure, the new exhaust should be coming soon. After 10 minutes, took her back in the garage and washed off the salt. Next time she's out it will be all put back together again....

I'm so ashamed. Didn't go. No repsonse from phone calls, nor emails. And based on previous experience regarding a snorkle that Vozzie sent, I figured it'd be a waste of time. Thoughts/comments? Don't know what to do.

Hans does a bunch of stuff for NASCAR. I bet he is still in business, but, I bet he's lost interest in doing anything for M/Cs. I'll go by there this week. You're right, it won't hurt. If he is interested in making some CF tank covers, he'll need a tank to make a mould. I don't want to loan him mine (for obvious reasons). We might want to see if any are available.
