Just grabbed an 08 C14!

Man, these things are hard to find! I rode a buddies Concours 11 years ago and was very impressed with it, and since then I wanted one.

I have owned a wide variety of bikes, to include four HD's, several metric cruisers, a couple sport bikes, a Gold Wing and perhaps one or two I have missed.

I found this bike at a local dealer and picked it up for $6900. Has 24000 miles on it, and with the exception of garage rub marks on the hard bags, it is in really good shape. Two new Pilot 3 tires to boot!

I got a break in the weather today, so I brought it home. Unbelievable smooth performance and my reluctant wrist has found that there is plenty of fun to be had.

With the reputation this motor has developed, I can only assume I have 100,000 miles to go before I need to worry about the engine getting long in the tooth. Now if only spring would get here!

Good find. I got lucky and picked up a 2009 black concours with 14K miles with several accessories at a great price. I hope to put lots of miles on it this year.

Yea, I think it was both the 08 & 09 that people complained about the heat on your legs

Hi there and congrats on the 08 Concours!

There is an 08 exactly like yours, even the same color, at my local dealer. It has 26k miles and is supposedly completely serviced, new tires and ready to roll for $7,998.

The same dealer has two 2013 Concours 14's with ABS, both are new. He wants 10,998.

I like saving money as well as anyone, but for $3K more to get a 2013 new bike that I could break in myself, new bike warranty, etc.

I am really interested in this bike. Could you tell me the main differences in the 08 and 13?

This is really an amazing bike. I currently own a Honda VTX-1300c. I like it a lot. It is a very nimble cruiser. Lotsa low end torque and like most Japanese bikes, they run forever. 100K plus miles is common. I plan on keeping it, but it's lonely and needs a garage-mate ;-)

You want a 2010 or newer.. Lotsa key upgrades happened in 2010..

They fixed the heating issues, abs , traction control and heated grips became standard...
It's a better bike than the 08 09...

Google 'Connie owners group' sign up and keep an eye on the classifieds..

I did a fly and ride last fall and picked up a 10,000 mile 2010 that was clean
Enough to eat off of for 8500... Plus the previous owner put every goodie you
Could think of on it...

You can pick up an 08 under $6k and add heated grips if you live in cold climates.
ABS is available on the 08, and trac control; don't need it.
I've got 44500 miles and don't have heat complaints. Sure newer is nice, all depends on the budget; great ride either way.
I recently saw new leftover 13's for $9500 otd. That's a steal.....

Trees are like magnets, if you look at one too hard you'll probably hit it.
I miss my 01, the silver was fastest!
08 Concours....as close to silver as I could get!

Two years ago, I picked up a 2008 Concours 14 with only 2,600 Kms (1,600 miles on it). At that time, I paid about $8,000 US. The bike was absolutely show room condition. The first owner developed knee damage, and couldn't ride for the past couple of years, so had to sell it. He said it never even saw a drop of rain. It's been a fabulous bike, with great power on tap, and very smooth for cruising. Best bike I've ever owned.
