08

I have the fastest color they made. The 08 silver,@ 16K miles and love it, I ride it year round, try to stay off the ice and snow but if there was a way, I lost my b*$#s, my ex-wife kept them.

Quickwilly,

Glad to see you on board with a C-14. Did you keep your 12? I have an 08 and love it, except it keeps me poor adding farkles! If you haven't already done it, try out the concours.org site. There is a lot of information and lots of good people on the site, just like this one.
We still miss you and the family at the DG rally.

2012 model in the garage

After months of watching the market for new and used, the local dealer and I came to terms on a black ABS model. Have riden it twice now and have amassed a whopping 390 miles! I really want to go to Key West this year for starters. Still have the 2K8Z1K but, with work and school going on, I can't get out much. Anyway, so far, the C14 rides really nice.

I just bought a 2012 Concours 14 this afternoon and will be picking it up on Tuesday. I am wicked excited and cant wait to ride it. I traded in my 2009 Yamaha R6 because it was too uncomfortable. How do you guys like your C14's???

arock,

I'm going through handlebar gyrations. Wedges were beneficial. Blocks with set-back are currently installed. Don't like the rise. I'm about to spring for the LSL risers and fit a bar I want. Grab-on foam grip covers installed. I've also been grinding foam from the seat to remove the slope.

Radar detector and GPS installed, I'm having a good ol' time rippin' around TN.

By gyrations do you mean the bars are vibrating? If so heavy bar weights are the fix. I have the original Heli-Bars on mine and love them.

Check out the International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers online, we'll be in your neck of the woods in June to scope out an upcoming camping trip. Running the Blue Ridge to Cherokee, NC and back.

Trees are like magnets, if you look at one too hard you'll probably hit it.
I miss my 01, the silver was fastest!
08 Concours....as close to silver as I could get!

Just gyrations of finding the best position for my short reach. I think I'm used to the Kawasaki bar buzz. After today's ride, I'm starting to get used to the new blocks with the 3/4" aft positioning. I've sent an email to LSL to see if they'll sell just the risers since their bar kit isn't offered for the 2010 and up.

I'll check the IBMC site. Thanks for the heads-up.

These bike are awesome!

My C14 continues to grow on me even at 8,600 miles as of today. I really like the Corbin seat looks and wanted a Smuggler. Never bought the set because it looks like the butt pocket is too far back for me, due to my t-rex arms.

Right now, I'm poking around for a Givi top box, and suspect I really could use one for my AZ/UT/CO tour this coming May.
