Any chance that rear seat has a Dino hinge on it? If so, I'm interested.

Also, do you know if you have a working microswitch for the clutch? Y'know, so the bike will start in gear if you have the clutch pulled in. Mine doesn't seem to be working, since I can't start mine in gear. Shipping would be to 28227.

no hinge. sry. did you check the switch on kickstand? I will look tonite for micro switch. The complete switch should be there. I bought a wrecked bike and only wanted the motor. no body parts made it thru on that one.

Honestly, no, I haven't checked the sidestand switch. My thinking though is that if that switch were malfunctioning the bike would simply shutoff anytime I put the bike in gear (with the stand up). Isn't that correct? As it stands, the only problem I have is that if the bike is already in gear (with stand up), pulling the clutch in will not allow me start the bike. I've fiddled with the little plunger on the microswitch and it seems to be moving perfectly fine and the plug connection looks good too.

Sorry, not trying to turn your "For Sale" thread into a tech session. But if y'all think I'm going down the wrong path, please let me know. :)

its okay. the parts i got are in great shape. i really dont have a clue wat else to tell you about clutch. Ill ask my dad later tonite. good luck. i blew my motor up and i need money to buy another ASAP. so buy buy buy haha any reasonable offer will be taken! dnt be afraid to ask.

now that i think about it. i think mine does the same stuff. i hav to put in neutral. let me know. now I will wonder bout that for awhile til I get my bike back together.

thats two different things.

i have a older full size can muzzy & also a muzzy full tit system with shortened can.

FWIW - The plunger part of the switch can be functioning perfectly & the switch still won't "make" sometimes... You can work the plunger in & out briskly by holding the clutch in (Zip-tie, velcro band, rubber band will work if your wife/gf isn't willing to help you for 5 minutes...) & pushing it in with a screwdriver or knifeblade, allowing it to "snap" out several times, while spraying the assembly with contact cleaner or WD-40... If you choose contact cleaner, make sure it's compatible with plastics...

Anyway, if this doesn't help, the switch can be disassembled and the contacts cleaned with an emery board, points file, or some sandpaper...

BTW - In my experience, this is the most common cure for the problem you're describing... I could be wrong, but it'll only take 5 - 10 minutes & $0.00 to find out!!

I also apologize for trashing-up your thread, but hopefully this will help some folks...
