Here's a little history on my 12r.
I bought it from the second owner in September of 06 with 5200 miles on it for $4400. At the time it had a Muzzy Ti slip on, 18/48 gearing, Yellowbox, Helibars, and a shortened rear fender. I had never considered owning a ZX12 as I had always thought it was too big/heavy/slow to be a true sport bike. I was in for a pleasant surprise!

I really didn't want to mod the bike too much as I was bent on selling it in the spring. However over the course of that fall and a few rides I really became quite enamored by the 12r. My previous sport bikes were a 2003 ZX7r and 2002 R1. I love the stability and solid feeling of the 7r, but greatly disliked its lack of power relative to the newer 750s and 1000s, which lead me to buy the R1. I really, really enjoyed the spastic feeling of the yamaha and it's power delivery, but found it quite uncomfortable on longer rides and its spastic nature was a little unnerving at times. The ZX12r is the perfect combination of both bikes: it feels planted and stable yet has enough power to blow almost anything away.
