Relocation assistance to the Houston Area

Some VERY good friends of mine are considering relocation to Houston. His trucking company has decided that California sucks and is relocating the entire company to Houston. I know we had a few officers at one time from that area and surrounding area that would have some great insight on a decent place to live and those places to avoid.
Thanks in advance
Jeff

Jeff have you been on Bikeland? Karl lives near Houston. He would have some insight.

I reserve the right to be wrong....

Pearland seems to be pretty nice. Its growing. Just had some friends/co-workers move there.

Katy, the Woodlands and Conroe areas are nice as well.

HG, don't you work just outside of Houston?

My highschool football coach was from Katy. It's been a long time since I was there repoing cars. These friends of mine are truely family, I've been in the rough parts of Houston repossesing cars on Christmas eve(yes, I know...Karma), but I'm completely out of touch on the better places to live.
Thanks for the insight, I will get ahold of Karl and see what he has to say.

Thanks again
Jeff
