academy disqualifiers

Would a previous arrest of a 4th degree misdomeanor prohibit me from qualifyng for the application procedure? it was a shopping cart prank when I was a teenager. I'm now 34. Also, how bad does your credit have to be to really disqualify you?

This one bagat this one and that one begat that one and begat, begat, begat, and lo and behold someone said some shit and..... Just how retarded are you. I reckon I aint got no reason to kill nobody. hmm mmm.

Both questions really depend on the PD. I'd hazard a guess that the first won't hurt you too much, especailly considering your age at the time. Bad credit isn't a deal breaker for most PD's but I know that they do check and it's a factor when choosing a canidate.

Sorry I can't help more.

Best of luck !!! All in all it's a good job. If I could do it again I wouldn't change a single thing.

I'm sure they will discuss your credit and past history during the interview. Be prepared for tough questions, answer with calm, intelligent responses. Study courses can be had for interview techiques. They usually are only two days long and can be very benifical. The oral interview can make or break any applicant, it's very important to interview well.

Keep us posted on your progress 8)

now, ya see, this is why i could never be a cop. my credit is crap. I answer tough questions with smartass remarks as if the person asking them has the IQ of a retarded squirrel, and I'm a foul mouthed hothead especially in the midst of supidity and ignorance. sooooo that pretty much covers all NJ motorists.
