My wife and I are buying her an 08 ninja 250R. StruthersBrothers in Des Moines Iowa wants 3500.$ 200.$ somthing for tax. 400.$ for assembaly and destination fee and 90.$ for licsence. 4200.$!!!!! I asked her if they made any mention of throwing in any gear...Nope. I bought my zx12 from a smaal town dealer who wet his pants when I gave him 9400.00$ for the brand new 00 12. Im wondering is this common practice from thes guys. every experience Ive had with them sucked.

Tax is tax, gotta pay that to Uncle Sam no matter what.

$400 for assm, maybe I need to look closer at my invoice(s) but I cannot remember paying any fee to put it together...But I understand the cost of fuel bumping everything up so much, including getting the bike to the shop. < shrug > :roll:

$90 reg fee... kinda like the tax.. gotta pay it..

In the end, it is a small price to pay for the joy of riding together!!! 8)

Wifee just talked to dealer in Iowa city. 3750 tax-title-licsense out the door with a 15% discount on gear. Done yippeee! About an hours drive from here. Thanks for the reply
